Direct Access to Onboard RV Systems
By connecting to the RV’s diagnostic port, we can communicate with multiple onboard modules — including engine, transmission, ABS, emissions, and body control systems when supported. This allows us to document system communication, identify active or stored codes, and record available operational data at the time of inspection.
This non-invasive process is especially valuable for identifying issues that may not present themselves during a short test drive or visual review.
Mileage & Operational Data Documentation
Diagnostic scanners allow us to document vehicle distance, engine hours (when available), and other operational parameters directly from onboard systems. This data is recorded as observed during the inspection and provides buyers with additional context when evaluating overall RV usage and condition.
For diesel motorhomes using J1939 communication protocols, this data can be especially valuable when reviewing service history and usage patterns.
