Drone - Roof & Perimeter Imaging

What Drone Inspection Does in an RV Inspection

Drone inspections use aerial photography to capture detailed views of RV roofs, front caps, and other elevated or hard-to-reach areas. This technology allows for comprehensive documentation of roof layout, components, and surface conditions without physically walking on the RV.

By eliminating direct roof access, drone inspections reduce the risk of accidental damage while still providing clear visual records of areas that are often difficult to evaluate from the ground. Images are captured at multiple angles to provide context, scale, and detail.

Drone imagery supports visual inspection findings and enhances report transparency by allowing clients to see the same areas inspected.

Roof Aerial Documentation

Drone imagery allows the roof to be documented from multiple perspectives—wide-angle views for overall layout and close-up views for transitions, seams, and penetrations. This layered approach provides clear visual context without relying on a single viewpoint.

Using high-resolution DJI drones, we are able to capture:

  • Overall roof condition and layout
  • Rooftop components such as vents, AC units, antennas, and panels
  • Sealant coverage at seams, joints, and transitions

All images are captured safely from above and included in the inspection documentation for clarity and client review.

How Drone Images Are Used in Inspection Reports

Drone images are reviewed alongside ground-level visual findings and other inspection tools to provide a complete picture of the RV’s exterior condition. Images are selected to show both overall roof context and detailed areas of interest.

Relevant aerial images are included in the inspection report to help clients clearly understand roof layout, component placement, and observed conditions at the time of inspection. This visual documentation supports transparency and improves communication without relying solely on written descriptions.

Drone images reflect conditions at the time of inspection and are not predictive in nature.
